Sweet Times Ahead...

Alot has happened since my last post. Life, and the ultimate loss of it can affect you in ways that you could never imagine. I have discovered that I am far stronger than I thought I was, and far more determined that I thought I could be.

I now have a new job, and a renewed focus on building my business. Time to re-commit to a real estate search in another location - to be determined. Stay tuned...sweet times and sweet treats are on the horizon.

Today...my mother took her last breath on this Earth. I have no words. The emotion is too much.

Triple Chocolate Chewy Cookies - Recipe Test

I'm back at it again...testing recipes again. This is a triple chocolate chewy cookie with three kinds of chocolate (bittersweet, semi-sweet and milk chocolate shavings and morsels). It also has two different types of nuts - carmelized walnuts and crushed hazelnuts. The richness is incredible and despite its sweetness, leaves you craving for more. This is a definite addition to the repetoire of desserts I'm building. For My Valentine...You Know Who You Are!!!

These are a few delectable little goodies I whipped up for dessert for Valentine's Day. I broke with my "vegan ways" and broiled a T-bone steak, baked potato and steamed veggies for "Honey Bunny" (his favorite meal). A few milk chocolate covered strawberries, some dipped again in sprinkles, and chocolate dipped pretzel snaps, double dipped in sprinkles. Hope your V Day was as sweet as mine. Love ya, MB!!!

Garden State Cake Show Photos

Attended the 2011 Garden State Cake Show in Burlington, NJ. My "honey bunny", sister and nephew joined me for good times, amazing cake artistry, the opportunity to meet the ONE AND ONLY Ms. Toba Garrett!!! (For those of you who don't know...google this amazing woman!)

I had a great time and even watched a demonstration by my friend - Carolina L. These events only serve to strengthen my resolve to ignore the naysayers and keep my dessert artistry at its highest level!!! Check it out!
